Class 1 Driver

Driving Force Recruitment Ltd, operating as an Employment Business, are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers for an established logistics operation based in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

This is an ongoing position offering consistent Monday to Friday night work, ideal for an experienced Class 1 driver looking for regular hours and a stable working pattern.

The Role

You will be completing night-time deliveries to retail stores across the UK, delivering products for a well-known national trade retailer.

Duties will include:

• Class 1 store delivery work
• Delivering stock to retail locations
• Working with caged goods
• Tail-lift deliveries where required
• Key-holder/store access responsibilities on certain deliveries
• Completing all relevant delivery paperwork
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on schedule

As this is store delivery work rather than straightforward depot-to-depot trunking, we are looking for confident and experienced Class 1 drivers who are comfortable manoeuvring into different delivery locations and working independently during night shifts.

Shift & Pay

Monday to Friday Nights

• £18.00 per hour + holiday accrued separately
• OR £20.17 per hour including holiday pay
• Ongoing, regular work
• Weekly pay

Driver Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

• Minimum 2 years' HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
• Valid UK Class 1 driving licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• 0 points on your licence
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and Working Time Directive
• Previous store delivery experience is advantageous
• Good communication skills and a professional approach

Assessment & Induction

All drivers will complete an assessment before starting.

Your initial induction will also include:

• Manual Handling training
• Drug & Alcohol test
• Site induction
• Completion of relevant paperwork and procedures
