Class 1 Container Night Driver (HGV Class 1)

Start Times: Between 16:00 and 20:00

Pay Rates (Including Holiday Pay)

• Monday to Friday Nights: £21.85 per hour
• Saturday: £24.66 per hour
• Sunday: £26.90 per hour

About the Role

We are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our client based at London Gateway. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, professional drivers seeking ongoing, full-time work with a well-established transport operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport containers to and from London Gateway and surrounding areas.
• Complete deliveries safely, efficiently, and on time.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
• Comply with all UK driving regulations, including Working Time Directive (WTD) and tachograph rules.
• Maintain a professional attitude and provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Container experience is preferred but not essential.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks and driving regulations.
• Professional, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points for minor offences only.
• No convictions for DD, DR, IN, CD, TT, or UT offences.
