HGV 1 Driver

Driving Force Recruitment Ltd, operating as an Employment Business, is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ad hoc shifts based in Preston.

This role is ideal for drivers looking for flexible work to fit around existing commitments. We have a variety of shifts available, offering ongoing opportunities with a well-established logistics operation.

The Role

• General haulage deliveries and collections
• Transporting palletised freight, paper products, packaging materials, and other commercial goods
• Typically completing between 1–3 deliveries or collections per shift
• Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely
• Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork and compliance records
• Representing both Driving Force and our customer professionally at all times

• Ad hoc shifts
• Flexible working pattern to suit your availability
• Days, Nights and weekends available

Pay Rates

• Day £17.00ph
• Night £18.00ph
• Saturday £19.00ph
• Sunday & Bank Hols £20.00ph

Holiday pay accrued separately

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Minimum 1 year's Class 1 driving experience
• Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences
• No DD, DR, IN, CD or TT endorsements
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Professional and reliable attitude
