Class 1 Driver

Driving Force Recruitment Ltd, operating as an Employment Business, are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver for our client based in Salford.

This is an initial 4-week assignment working a consistent Sunday to Thursday shift pattern, with the possibility of further work depending on requirements.

Job Details:

• Location: Salford
• Shift: Sunday to Thursday
• Start Time: 17:00 until finish
• Initial Contract: 4 weeks
• Class 1 trunking work
• Regular route from Salford to Wakefield
• Weekly pay £18.80 ph

The Role:

The successful driver will be completing trunk runs from the Salford depot to Wakefield. You will complete at least one trunk to Wakefield per shift, followed by either a second Wakefield trunk or assisting with vehicle movements depending on operational requirements.

A full driver induction will be provided before starting the normal shift pattern. This will include travelling to Wakefield with one of the client's existing drivers so you can familiarise yourself with the route, site procedures and what will be expected during the assignment.

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 / Category C+E licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 1 driving experience
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive
• Reliable and professional approach
• Comfortable working Sunday to Thursday nights
• Good communication skills
