Driver CPC training aims to enhance road safety, improve driver skills, and ensure professional standards amongst commercial drivers.

All our drivers have already obtained their initial Driver CPC qualification, having completed a theory test, practical driving test, and a case study test, and undertaking 35 hours of periodic training every 5 years to maintain their qualification.

But did you know we’re a fully qualified driving school for CPC training? We’re committed to helping drivers stay up to date with safe driving practices, so if you’d like us to support your new recruits through their initial training, or ensure your experienced drivers continue to improve their skills with their periodic modules, we’re here to help.

Driving Force Recruitment is hiring experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for Gist in Crewe, offering top rates, and excellent working conditions.
Role Overview
You will be delivering chilled, ambient, and frozen goods to Marks &amp; Spencer stores.
This role involves straightforward cage and tail-lift deliveries &mdash; no heavy handball &mdash; using modern, well-maintained vehicles from a clean, professional depot.
Shift times:
<ul>
<li>Early starts: 01:00 &ndash; 05:00</li>
<li>Afternoon starts: 14:00 &ndash; 19:00</li>
<li>Average shift length: 10&ndash;11 hours</li>
<li>FRI and MON shift pattern (busiest days for the client)</li>
</ul>
Pay Rates
<ul>
<li>Days: &pound;19.09per hour</li>
<li>Nights: &pound;22.91 per hour</li>
<li>Overtime also available after 8 hours</li>
<li>Enhanced rates available at weekends &amp; bank holidays</li>
</ul>
All roles are PAYE, with holiday pay accrued separately.
Requirements
<ul>
<li>Valid&nbsp;HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence</li>
<li>Driver CPC&nbsp;and&nbsp;Digital Tachograph Card</li>
<li>Minimum&nbsp;12 months&rsquo; recent Class 1 driving experience</li>
<li>No more than&nbsp;6 penalty points&nbsp;(minor offences only)</li>
</ul>
Full paid training will be provided once you pass your driving assessment to ensure you start safely and confidently.
